Cookies and Cups

Today was a particularly long and gloomy Monday. I can feel the onset of SAD knocking on my door. So, having acknowledged my mood, I must do what ever it takes to keep up my spirits, not matter what the weather brings.

To arm myself against the blah mood I made the most delicious cookies (thank you, Martha Stewart, for you chocolate-y goodness); and now my entire apartment smells like cocoa and comfort.

Once the cookies cool down, I plan to dip them, one by one, into a cup of cold milk. I can't think of a better way to wrap up a the day.

Well, maybe if I owned this cup from  Anthropologie, the stars would align and make me cheery into Tuesday.

Adéu to Fall

The tree outside my window has been dancing all day long, thanks to northeastern winds of Brooklyn that shoo away the golden autumn and beckon icy winter. Coincidentally, these plates, from Mary Wibis on Etsy, capture the said tree perfectly and make me feel nostalgic for the beautiful fall that is about to be replaced with miserable cold weather. Winter's only appeal is snow, and until the snowflakes make an appearance I've got to hold on to my memories.

Tea Party

This whimsical Dancing Fairies set by Yedi Houseware makes me want to plan a tea party. I love the adorable design because it evokes childhood memories of hosting an affair for my dolls. Perhaps, setting the entire table with fairies may be a bit too Disney, but just a few pieces will bring just the right amount of charm.
